Emre Candoğan (CICA & CCS) joins IIC Turkey (29.01.2025)
Mr. Emre Candoğan (CICA & CCS) of REEF Technology joins IIC Turkey. He graduated from the Management in English Departmant of Yalova University, Turkey. He also studied Economics in Univerza v Mariboru (Slovenia) as an Erasmus exchange student. Mr. Emre Candoğan formerly worked as an intern in Deloitte, Accounting Assistant in Ernst & Young (E&Y), Finance Accounting Specialist in HUGO BOSS and Purchase Specialist in Jacobs Douwe Egberts. He is currently working as Senior Accounts Payable in REEF Technology. We congratulate Mr. Emre Candoğan and welcome him in IIC Turkey.
Hasan Özbay (CICA, BSc, MBA, CMB Lv.-2, CPA Intern, CICP) joins IIC Turkey (14.06.2024)
Mr. Hasan Özbay started his professional career as an assistant auditor in 2012. HQ unit audits, branch audits, the BRSA audits, the ICAAP Review and investigations are some of his areas of expertise. After internal auditor role in ICBC, Mr. Hasan Özbay’s career continued in Süzer Group as a Group Auditor. Financial and non-financial companies’ audits, investigations and their profitability analysis were his expertise fields. Istanbul Turkey, Zagreb Croatia, Montréal Canada can be listed as the locations Mr. Hasan Özbay served.
On October 1, 2021, Mr. Hasan Özbay’s new journey started in Izmir at Yasar Holding as an Auditor. Production companies and factories were his main audit fields. He was also focused on annual audits, ad-hoc audits and investigations. CICA, CMB Level 2 and CICP are his leading titles. Congratulations to Mr. Hasan Özbay and we welcome in IIC Turkey.

IIC Turkey Science Award ‘2020 (17.01.2021)
IIC Turkey Science Award ‘2020 is presented to Dr.Vedat Akman of Beykent University with the particiation of Dr. Murat Ferman, President (Rector) of Beykent University. IIC Turkey has deemed Dr. Vedat Akman, a faculty member of the Finance and Banking (English) Department of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Beykent University, worthy of the “IIC Science Award ‘2020”. Dr. Vedat Akman has conducted many studies investigating the impact of COVID-19 on accounting, finance and economics in 2020, has given oral presentations at domestic and international conferences, and has served as a referee and scientific board member, so he has been deemed suitable for the “IIC Science Award ‘2020” by our board of directors. We congratulate Dr. Vedat Akman and wish him continued success.

Student Chapter established in Yalova University (04.01.2019)
A second student chapter is established in Yalova University of Turkey with the initiative of Mr. Ali Akkaya. IIC Turkey is highly motivated in bringing internal controls to the attention of university students in Turkey.
Student Chapter established in Istanbul 29 Mayıs University (23.12.2018)
A new student chapter has been established, bringing the issues regarding internal controls to students who will be entering the field upon graduation. Under the direction of Dr. Cevdet Kizil, Ph.D, CICA, a student chapter known as the Accounting and Internal Controls Club was established recently at Istanbul 29 Mayis University in Turkey. This is the first student chapter established in Eastern Europe. A second chapter in Turkey is planned for operation at Yalova University.
